How to Install the Simsoc Match Viewer - Windows Vista

Windows Vista has a number of security features that meam to protect you against malicious software but can impede both the installation and operation of the Simsoc Match Viewer.

You may not be able to install the Viewer at all unless you have administrative privileges on your computer.

After clicking the above link you will be prompted to run or save the setup file. 

Select Run .

After a few minutes (depending on your internet connection speed) you should get a security warning from your browser.

We assure you that the Simsoc Match Viewer does not contain spyware or anything harmful that will affect your system, please press Run again at this point.

The InstallShield system will now begin, it requires you confirm you want to continue 2 more times:

After a short time the Installation is complete and the InstallShield system will automatically close. 

(Under some circumstances you may have to acknowledge that the Viewer software is being installed outside of the normal Vista protected program space, it has to be because it cannot  update the data files from within the normal Vista space- we hope to release a more Vista aware product some time in the future.  Again, please agree to the installation and continue.)

Next time you login to Simsoc and manage one of your teams you can view matches wherever you see the button.  However the first time you run the Viewer you will probably see yet another warning:

Please check the box not to be warned again and Allow the program to start.

The Match Viewer's button position on the Team home screen is indicated below by the yellow circle.
